Three Best Practices for the Ugly Chair Blog
How the Ugly Chair Blog will provide value about online video for business to content marketers, internet marketers, and inbound marketers. Help us make this a great resource by commenting on the blogposts.
We Want to Be a Valuable Resource for Content Marketers
Video is taking the Internet by storm. At last check, 48 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute (and that may be outdated already). And that’s just YouTube. What about all of the other video hosting and sharing sites like Vimeo and DailyMotion, and the dozens and dozens of others that exist out there? How much video is being uploaded there? How can content marketers, internet marketers, and inbound marketers keep up with everything related to online video for business? Well, we hope you’ll come here as part of your resources.
Yes, Ugly Chair Productions is a video production company, but our approach to corporate video production is different (VIDEO). So, how can we be a valuable resource? Well,…
Here are Our Three Best Practices
- Relevant Content
Our goal is to provide valuable content about online video for content marketers, internet marketers, and inbound marketers. This content will include the following:
a. Video Site How-To’s – Getting the most out of video sharing sites such as YouTube and Vimeo for your business.
b. Video Production Techniques – From writing your script to framing your shot, lighting your subject, and proper audio.
c. Video Editing – Tutorials for some of the most common video editing software on the market, including mobile video editing applications.
d. Video SEO – Learn how to optimize your content and submit video sitemaps to the search engines.
The Ugly Chair Blog does not seek to be a news resource for the online video industry (I recommend ReelSEO as an excellent news, trends, and strategy resource). So, we won’t be posting multiple blog posts each day. But you can expect 2-3 blog posts a week from us.
One thing that I tell everyone I talk to about producing videos for their business is that video is and should be a tool as part of a greater content marketing strategy. Never, never should video be the end-all be-all to achieving your goals, because it isn’t. Video is a tool. So, we will be adding additional resources focused on content marketing, internet marketing, and inbound marketing as part of our blogroll. Among them will be our partners, like brassCycle, and other authoritative resources that we follow so that we can stay on top of our game so that we can provide the best video production services to our clients.
